Good news could be on the horizon for sufferers of high cholesterol.
A University of Adelaide leading expert in cardiology is saying that a new form of advanced drug that can be used for lowering cholesterol could be ready for patients to take in as little as five years.
This will be great news for patients that are at risk of suffering from heart attacks and strokes due to the high build-up of plaque that is within their arteries and blood vessels.
For those of us that are at present sufferers of this condition, we know that Statins are the current subscribed medication for trying to reduce cholesterol levels.
But, as good as they are, they still do not do the complete job in combating the problem.
